Interferometric synthetic image

This simulation goes one step further than seen earlier in the evaluation of the relevance of a given uv-coverage. Here, in addition to computing the PSF, a menu allows you to select for a type of source. The simulation produces the equivalent raw (uncleaned) interferometric image.

The simulation is pre-set for an interferometer with a Y-type configuration, but apertures can be moved around.

In addition to adding/removing and moving apertures to the interferometric array, the simulation also allows you to change the global scaling of the array, using either the buttons or the +/- keys of your keyboard. You may notice that if you have very short baselines, scaling up/down may result in "jumpy" fringes. This is simply due to the finite resolution of this simulation, designed not to be too CPU intensive.
